No.126
Rock–Paper–Scissors Pyramid
Japanese name: ピラミッドじゃんけん
Materials
- Row-position markers
How to play
- Choose six checkpoint players in three rows: three near the entrance, two next and one last. Challengers queue at the entrance, with a clear return route beside them.
- Play a chosen checkpoint player in row one. Win to move to row two, then win again to reach row three.
- Replay ties in place. On a loss, walk back along the side route to the entrance queue’s back and retry.
- Beat the final checkpoint to reach the goal. Stop after 3 minutes, swap challengers and checkpoint players and repeat.
Ways to adapt
Preschool children: two adult checkpoints. Younger primary school children: three rows. Older primary school children: up to four rows, keeping rounds short.
