How to play

  1. Six people stand around a hoop with enough space to extend their arms without colliding. Start below chest height, at a level everyone can comfortably reach.
  2. Everyone extends both index fingers horizontally. Rest the hoop on top of the fingers; do not grip, hook or press down on it.
  3. Work together to lower the hoop slowly to the floor while keeping every finger in contact. If a finger loses contact, safely hold the hoop together and reset to the starting height.
  4. The group succeeds when the hoop reaches the floor. After 3 minutes of trying, pause to discuss communication and lowering speed, then try again.
  5. Finish with each person briefly sharing a signal or movement that helped the group coordinate.

Ways to adapt

Older primary: groups of 4–6. If reaching the floor is difficult, use a low platform everyone can comfortably reach as the goal.
