No.51
Indoor Treasure Hunt
Japanese name: お部屋の宝探し
Materials
- Large treasure cards, about twice the number of players
- A collection box
How to play
- An adult counts the treasure cards and hides them safely in the room, where children can reach without climbing or moving furniture.
- Show the search boundary and places that may be opened. Collect at most two cards each, then help someone still searching.
- Walk on the start signal. Put finds in the collection box. If two people find a card together, bring it together.
- Regroup after 3–5 minutes and check whether all cards are present. An adult gives hints for missing cards; collect them all to finish.
Ways to adapt
Preschool children: leave half of each card visible. Younger primary school children: give location hints. Older primary school children: add simple verbal clues.
