Add a Movement
Japanese name: 動作の足し算
Materials
- No special equipment is needed.
How to play
- Form a circle where everyone can see. Agree to use only non-contact actions possible on the spot, and choose a turn order.
- The first player shows one action, such as raising a hand. Everyone copies it once.
- The next player repeats that action and adds one, such as touching a shoulder. Everyone copies both in order.
- Keep repeating the sequence and adding one action. Others may give reminders; mistakes do not eliminate anyone.
- At 4–6 actions, perform the whole sequence together for a shared success. Reset, choose a new starting player and begin again.
Ways to adapt
Preschool children: 2–3 actions. Younger primary school children: about 4. Older primary school children: about 6.
