Towel Ball Carry
Japanese name: タオルでボール運び
Materials
- One towel per pair
- A soft ball
- A turning marker
How to play
- Partners hold opposite ends of a towel with a ball in its center. First practice keeping it level while still.
- Walk toward a marker 5–10 m away. Neither person suddenly pulls or starts running.
- Turn slowly around the marker and return. If the ball falls, both stop, replace it and continue from the same spot.
- Stop at the start before handing towel and ball to the next pair. Do not pass over anyone’s head.
- Finish when all pairs complete the carry. Change partners or sides and try again.
Ways to adapt
Preschool children: pair with an adult. A seated side-to-side passing version is also possible.
