Jump Together in Time
Japanese name: タイミングジャンプ
Materials
- Flat markers for circle positions (optional)
How to play
- Form a large circle with 4–8 players, leaving enough space that arms cannot collide. Begin without holding hands.
- Make small two-footed jumps together to the caller’s “Right, right, left, left.”
- Land before listening for the next cue. Stop if feet might touch or anyone loses balance.
- Four synchronized beats are success. Try short combinations such as one right/one left or two right/two left.
- Rest after about 30 seconds and change callers. Finish by performing one combination everyone can manage together.
Ways to adapt
Preschool children: step sideways. Older primary school children: invent beat combinations.
