Materials
- Prompt cards
- A table for borrowable objects
- A finish marker
How to play
- An adult prepares safe venue objects for prompts, such as a blue cloth or round ball. Set up a borrowing station with a helper.
- Start one at a time and turn over a prompt card along the route. An adult can read it or add pictures.
- Find a matching item and ask the helper “May I borrow this?” With permission, take it and walk to the finish.
- The finish helper checks the prompt and item. If they do not match, discuss and retry together.
- Return it to the original helper and say thank you. After everyone tries once, change roles and prompts to finish.
Ways to adapt
Preschool children: picture cards and adult accompaniment. Older primary school children: prompts with two conditions.
