- B
- Other players travel counterclockwise.
- C
- Cross to the next section.
Materials
- Chalk or marking tape for the court
How to play
- Divide a large square into four sections with cross-shaped lanes. One tagger stands in the lanes; everyone else starts in the same section.
- Runners move counterclockwise into the next section. The tagger stays inside the cross-shaped lanes and gently tags runners crossing them.
- Do not stop in the lanes, push the tagger, skip a section, reverse direction or leave the outside boundary.
- A tagged runner swaps roles with the tagger. Everyone stops, checks where the new tagger is, then resumes.
- Completing a lap without becoming tagger is a success. End after 2 minutes, then change the section size or tagger and play again.
Ways to adapt
Younger primary school children: use an adult tagger. Older primary school children: use two taggers.
