Disc Golf: An Introduction
Japanese name: ディスクゴルフ入門
Materials
- One flying disc per person
- Dedicated goals or agreed targets
- Start markers
- Score sheets
How to play
- An adult sets a short course of 3–5 holes with clearly defined successful targets. Check that nobody is ahead.
- Throw from the start one at a time. Nobody walks forward to retrieve until everyone has thrown.
- Subsequent throws start where your own disc stopped. The farthest player from the target throws first while others wait behind.
- Finish a hole by landing in the dedicated goal or hitting the agreed target. Record the number of throws.
- Lowest total across all holes wins. Initially set a cap, such as 6 throws per hole. Everyone plays the same holes.
Ways to adapt
Younger primary school children: three short holes. Older primary school children: five holes.
