Materials

How to play

  1. Draw alternating single circles and pairs of side-by-side circles: one circle, two circles, one circle, and so on.
  2. Hop on one foot into a single circle; land with one foot in each circle of a pair. Walk through the pattern first.
  3. One player goes to the last circle, turns and returns through the pattern. The next player starts only after the previous player returns.
  4. When ready, toss a beanbag into the first circle and skip that circle. Pick up the beanbag on the return journey and reach the start to succeed.
  5. After each success, move the beanbag target one circle farther. If the bag misses its circle or you step on a line, let the next player go; resume from that stage on your next turn.

Ways to adapt

Preschool children: no beanbag. Older primary school children: add the beanbag pick-up challenge.
