No.309

Khee Ma Song Muang: The Secret Messenger

Japanese name: キー・マー・ソン・ムアン(ひみつの使者)

Materials

How to play

  1. Choose one neutral judge and divide the rest into two equal teams. Check everyone’s name using name tags. Decide which team chooses a name first.
  2. A representative of the first team secretly gives the judge the name of one opposing player. The judge records it without giving clues through facial expressions.
  3. The other team consults and sends one messenger to the judge. If that messenger is the secretly named person, the naming team scores one point and the round ends.
  4. If not, that messenger now secretly names a player on the opposite team. That team sends a messenger, and the judge checks for a match in the same way.
  5. End the round on a match or after eight messenger visits across both teams. No match means no points. Play four rounds, alternating which team chooses first, and compare total scores. Change messengers each visit.

Ways to adapt

Younger primary: three per team with name tags. Older primary: shorter consultations.
