Materials
- 10 soft treasures, such as beanbags
- Cloth tails
- Two treasure boxes
- Court markings
How to play
- Place the start, taggers’ lane and treasure area in a straight line. Put 1–2 taggers in the lane and carriers at the start.
- Carriers tuck a tail into their waistband, cross the lane on the signal, take one treasure and return the same way.
- Taggers stay in the lane and collect tails. A carrier who loses a tail returns the treasure and fits a new tail at the start.
- Delivering one treasure to the start box without losing a tail earns 1 point. Keep trying as often as you wish.
- Stop after 1 minute and count the treasures. Swap carriers and taggers and compare scores over equal playing times.
Ways to adapt
Preschool children: carry one way and return by a separate route. Older primary school children: adjust the number of taggers and lanes.
