How to play
- Separate two team areas with a center line. Mark a treasure circle and restart point in each. Defenders may not enter their own treasure circle.
- In this introduction, touching the opposing treasure and returning to your own half earns 1 point. Start toward the treasure on the signal.
- A defender’s gentle two-handed tag in the opposing half sends you back to your own restart point before trying again.
- No pushing, hitting, grabbing or body-blocking. The facilitator stops play if players crowd around a treasure circle.
- Stop after 2 minutes and compare points. Discuss strategy, swap ends and play again.
Ways to adapt
Younger primary school children: small teams with adult help. Secondary school students and adults: allow strategy time.
